The Penn Taekwondo Club is a WTF-style, competitive taekwondo club at the University of Pennsylvania. Our aims include physical fitness, self-defense, and intercollegiate competition.

The Fall 2011 Schedule has been updated. Trial week is now over, but prospective members may still join.
West Point Tournament Results
The PennTKD team sent 23 competitors to the West Point Tournament (about 350 total participants) on Sunday, February 28. The following are the awards that we received:
Poomsae (Forms):
- Kevin Lou (Men’s Black Belt Forms) – Bronze
- Lauren Fikse (Women’s Black Belt Forms) – Bronze
Sparring:
- Women’s A Team (Jeeyoon Yu, Lauren Fikse, Nicole Sapiro) – Silver
- Women’s B1 Team (Jennifer Li, Nicole Sapiro, Jean Kim) – Bronze
- Women’s B2 Team (Margaret Bevilacqua, Aimee Kim) – Quarterfinals
- Men’s B Team (Saiman Lim, Gabe Fernando) – Quarterfinals
We are now ranked 2nd in our division, which we plan to overturn in our final tournament of the year, which will be held on Penn campus on Saturday, April 2.

Updates
Trial week is now over! Thanks to all that came out! Our schedule has been finalized for the semester and can be seen here.
Please remember to pay your dues by Tuesday, February 1st or you will not be allowed to practice! Equipment orders are also due that day!
The standings page has been updated here to reflect current ECTC standings. The next tournament will be at West Point. The date will be announced when it is known.
Tentative Spring 2011 Schedule
The tentative Spring 2011 practice schedule has been posted here. We will update the schedule once the final practice day is finalized.
Also, a reminder that trial week is still going on! Come out today, Thursday, January 20th at 8pm and Tuesday, January 25th at 8:30pm to Pottruck 414.

MIT Tournament Results
The PennTKD team sent 22 competitors up to Boston to compete in the MIT Tournament this past Saturday, and came away with a lot of shiny medals!

PennTKD did very well and collected a lot of points! We’ll have a complete update on overall points and ECTC rankings during practice this week.
